Giant Nugget Card Gift Box Ends with Small Gift Box

Posted on April 10, 2011 at 12:23 PM Comments comments (1)

Hello All,

I am back again, this time to show you what I have been playing with, hehe Sale-a-bration has ended and its only now that I have had a chance to have a play with the stamp sets, I have used the butterfly from Bliss (my favorite) and So Happy for You for the sentiments.

Ok back to what I have been making. Its a Chocolate and Card Gift Pack, I found the idea from Becky Roberts - Inkin Idaho. Becky made a Giant Nugget Box, which held three Hershy Chocolate Nuggets and Four 3 x 3 Note Cards in a cute little gift box. Below is the one I made form the turorial Becky has available on her website.

Well I thought that these were a great gift giving idea, however when I give cards, I like to include envelopes, so I re-designed one that would not only hold the 3 x 3 cards and but also some 3 1/2" envelopes that I had on hand. Below is Beckys version (left) and my version on the right which is now holding four Hershey Nuggets and matching envelopes for the 3 x 3" cards.

Well of course every now and then I like to outsmart myself and it wasnt until I went to create the slider cover for my version, I realised that no way could I use a A4 sheet of cardstock as it was too small to wrap around the now bigger box. To finish it off, I have used a 12 x 12" cardstock sheet, but I needed to go back to the drawing board so that I wasnt wasting so much cardstock. And I just love what I came up with, took me all day to get my measurements right, but well worth it.

Below is a comparison of the varous versions, Becky's left, mine (1st version) right and my final version is the below middle.

I am really happy with how my version turned out. I also wanted to utilise more Stampin' Up! products. I have been able to bring in the Stampin' Up! Sizzix BigShot Scallop Envelope Die, so I also get my note cards, and matching envelopes. While the Scallop Envelope Die does make a small envelope, it is just a perfect size for a card to give with a bunch of flowers or other small gifts such as Jewellery etc. Plus I get to make it from A4 sized Cardstock. Just a perfect card, envelope and Chocolate gift pack for gift giving.

The DSP I used is this one is the current Elegant Soriee.

Here is another version made using the current Love Letter DSP, love how this one turned out also.

I will soon be offering my version as a pre-cut kit - or even as a class by mail for you to create for your own gift giving. Ok I am off now to go and have a play with some other colors.

Kind Regards

Angela

Easter Egg Treat Box with Buster the Punch Art Bunny

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 2:24 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello All,

Well I recently showed you "Buster the Bunny", my latest Punch Art Design, here he is again as a main feature on a Easter Egg Slider Treat Gift Box.

I have made the inserts for this Easter Egg Treat Gift Box, to specially hold either three Cadbury Mini Creme Eggs (I have been really good and not eaten any, during the making of this project) or to hold six Cadbury Mini Solid Easter Eggs. Cute hey?

The Easter Egg Treat Gift Box with Buster the Bunny - is available for purchase as a pre-cut and scored cardstock and pre-punched cardstock Kit. And would make a cute, different Easter Gift Giving project.

Above is a view of the slider box open.

Matchbox Easter Bunnies

Posted on February 20, 2011 at 2:09 AM Comments comments (1)

Hello All,

Well I have had a productive weekend, I have finally just finished my latest tutorial for the Matchbox Easter Bunny Gift / Treat Box.

Its just in time too, as I needed the tutorial completed for a Easter Bunny class that some very enthusiastic crafty ladies are so looking forward too.

Here they are in Whisper White and Chocolate Chip, with Pretty in Pink - and a perfect size for some mini Easter Eggs, six fit in perfectly.

I have had these on the go for a little while now, if you saw my Matchbox Kitty Cats a few weeks ago, well it was these Matchbox Easter Bunnies that I was making at the time, that inspired me to turn the bunny into a cat. But here I am back to finally show off the Matchbox Easter Bunny.

I will have these available to purchase as a Pre-cut Kit or as a PDF Step-by-Step pictured Tutorial only - shortly.

I have another Easter project, which I am just putting the finishing touches on and will be back to show that one as soon as I can.

My Crafting Space

Posted on December 28, 2010 at 10:11 PM Comments comments (1)

Hello all,

I thought I would pop in and give you all a brief tour of my crafting space.

I love the fact that there is plenty of space and with more room to reposition or add more tables to enable me to run larger classes.

Warning - its is far from tidy, I have a couple of projects on the go. I am slowly getting the storage I want to keep me organised and I will keep rearranging until I can find a proper place for everything. I do try to clean up as I go.

Ok first up is my punch storage - which as you all know how much I love my punches, so I need them to be within easy reach.

In this area I have my stamps, paper cutter , BigShot and a small display area. In the white cabinet I store all my BigShot dies etc and my 12 x 12 papers.

Here is an inside view of some of my dies, it used to drive me nuts with the dies stored on top of each other and it was always the one I wanted down the very bottom. I love this cabinet it makes everything so much easier to access.

Here is where I store my A4 Cardstock

All my Cardstock is color coded in their color families for easy reach.

And here is where you will usually find me, all ready to start creating.

I hope you have enjoyed my brief little tour of my crafting space and the storage ideas I have used.

Regards

Angela

Naughty or Nice - Valentine Cupid Owls

Posted on December 27, 2010 at 6:27 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello all, wow Christmas was such a rush, I was kept very busy with orders that I was still working on my own handmade items to give on Christmas morning.

All I have seen for the last few weeks is Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive, hehe. I will come back and show some of the items I have made for gift giving, together with a couple of tutorials that didnt quite make it to be advertised this festive season, but Christmas will come around again before we know it and this time I will be ready. Although the items I made this festive season were very different from last year, so who knows what next year will bring.

Well I am getting the jump on the next occasion - Valentines Day and have come up with a very cute design using the Stampin' Up! 2-Step Owl Punch and a few other Stampin' Up! punches.

Naughty or Nice Valentine Cupid Owls, featuring a cupid owl and a naughty horny devil owl. I have completed a step-by-step pictured tutorial available seperately or, together with a pre-cut punch pieces kit, or a complete kit, which includes all the pices to create both owls, the Matchbox Die cuts and DSP to decorate - as pictured.

I also have the Matchbox Die Cuts available in a special Valentine Pack or available in a choice of any of the 45 current colors. Contact me with what you would like to purchase and I can forward a PayPal invoice for payment.

Craft Fair - Pleasant Street Christmas Fest

Posted on December 5, 2010 at 12:59 AM Comments comments (1)

Hello all, well I am still recovering from a busy couple of days and a hectic few weeks.

Together with a good friend Sharon Sweet from Eureka Stamper, we have been very busy these last few weeks preparing for the Pleasant Street Christmas Fest, which was held Friday 3 December 2010.

I have to say I had an aboulte ball on the night and it was great to see that the items we had made were very much appreciated and admired and going by the cleared table by the end of the night - I would have to say it was a success and well worth the hard work that was put into all our goodies.

Thank you to those that purchased our goodies and I hope the recipients enjoy receiving them.

It wasnt until nearly half way through the night that I remembered that I wanted to take some photos of our display and by the time I took the pics, the table was looking a bit sparse and raided. But here are some of the goodies we had on offer.

Sharon and I made a range of ready made embelishments and below is a sample of our display.

Pictured below are one of my favorite items that I made - Chrismas Owl Gift Tags - all the Christmas Owls were very popular and well liked. When I made the Gift Tag size Owl they also have a special pocket inside to hold money with plenty of space to writing the greeting.  I also had on offer other Christmas Owls in a range of sizes to hold a gift card and also Greeting Card size.

Class Coming - Keep and eye out and contact me if you would be interested in attending a class in my home (or yours) to make a range of these cute Christmas Owls - Gift Tag/Money Holder, Gift Card Holder and Greeting Cards.

Also picture below are some Ruldolf Spares, chocolate Jaffas neatly packaged and presented, complete with tag and poem, these were VERY popular and we sold out of these quite early in the night. I need to give credit to Sunshine Peck from Stampin Sunshine who gave me the inspiration and then add my own style to package these little fellas like I have.

Pictured below is another of my favorite items - Punch Art Santa Chocolate Slider Gift Card. I have actually completed a tutorial to make this and was also intenting to offer as a pre-cut/punched kit, but Christmas is coming way too fast. I will try and get the tutorial at lease finalised for purchase ASAP.

People were so amazed with the chocolate block slider and how the chocolate just magically appears as you pull on the bow. Sharon had also made some beautiful Coffee Sachets sliders (you get a slight glimpse in the top right of the picture) with the same concept as the Santa chocolate block sliders.

Here is a few more of the goodies we had on offer: Snowman Kissess, Chocolate Patty Gift Pack, Coffee Pull Sachets and Elfin Droppings. Once again these pictures were taken nearly half way through the craft fair, which I am disapointed in, because we had everything presented beautifully.

Once again thank you to all the lovely people we met on the night and I hope to see you all again.

Regards

Angela

Christmas Goodies

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 3:20 PM Comments comments (0)

Hello, I am still here, but have busy creating, but just not getting to sit down and show them off to you all.

I recently attended a weekend craft retreat and had an absoulte balll - Thanks to all the attendees.

I was able to get a couple of projects I had in mind completed.

The first one is a card and bag designed by a US Stampin Up Demonstrator - Lynn Pratt (stamp-n-design).

Arnt these so so cute?? I am just working on a couple of extra additions and will be running a class to makes these cute little critters. So if you would like to make these, contact me for further details.

The second project is a Santa Chocolate Block / Gift Card that I designed to fit a particular sized block of chocolate, sorry the picture is not the ideal size, but hopefully you get the idea. I am working on finalising the tutorial and will have this available as a tutorial only or pre-cut,scored and punched kit.

Please contact me if you have any specific queries on any classes, kits or wish to purchase any Stampin' Up! products.

Updated Interactive Scrapbook Album

Posted on November 13, 2010 at 10:05 PM Comments comments (1)

Ok, after many hours, I have finally finished and can give out some more information and details about the updated Interactive Scrapbook Album, Tutorial and new Cardstock Kit.

I have been working on an updated Scrapbook album and updating the tutorial to show the new Designer Series Papers that we now have. The Interactive Scrapbook Album includes 18 tabbed pages made from scratch, the design of each page is different with interactive features – such as: lift up flaps, pull out tags, spin, tags, tri-fold and more. Includes places for over 40 photos with room for additional pages to be added should you have additional photos.

I have put a lot of work into putting this tutorial together and it is great value for money project, there are over 12 pages of colored step-by-step instructions and this album will keep you quite happily crafting for a good number of hours/days with the results so worth it. I am sure that you will use this tutorial many times for various memories, occasions and gifts.

Not only is this album a keep sake for your own special memories, but it would make a very unique gift for any special occasion - Weddings, Births, Special Birthdays – you can even add additional blank pages for guests to write in, the uses are endless, just by changing the cardstock colors and DSP designs.

A raw album cover, binder ring insert and rivets are included in the cost of the tutorial. Additional album covers and ring inserts are also available to purchase separately, should you wish to make more albums, because once you make one – you will be hooked and your family and friends will all want you to make them one. Of course if they want their own tutorial, point them in my direction to purchase and you can create together.

You may embellish these pages a little or a lot, as you wish to suit the style or theme you are working on. If you don’t like the DSP, change the Designer Series Paper or cardstock colors for a various different looks.

The photo mats in this album have been designed to fit a reduced size photo, 7.5cm x 10cm and 7.5 x 5cm. Your photos can easily be printed reduced either at home or from Harvey Norman, Big W etc. The Album will sit nicely on a coffee table or somewhere that is sure to show off your creativity and lovely memories.

In my example I have used the new Designer Series Paper – Newsprint, together with Baja Breeze, Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstock. You can use any color you wish in line with the theme of your album. With this paper - you can go from very trendy (I think that this would look great for a 21st Birthday) to elegant and timeless (family history) or any look that you desire. Remember you don’t need to use these exact papers, you can completely change the DSP and cardstock colors (you choice of DSP and cardstock also available in kit form).

Here I have another example, using the same DSP but with Riding Hood Red in place of the Baja Breeze, made by another talented friend Sharon Sweet – This one has a more vintage look. Sharon has also incorporated using the BigShot Top Note Dies for some of the photo mats. There are many different looks that you can achieve, just by altering the colors and how you embellish or even the style of your photos.

Purchase Options:

Tutorial Only: – Includes a colored Step-by-Step pictured PDF tutorial, Raw album cover, Binder Ring and Rivets - $24.95, plus postage

Kit (Cardstock, DSP, Tutorial): - Includes the Step-by-Step pictured tutorial, album cover and all the cardstock and papers that you will need to complete (cardstock for the base pages, your choice of DSP, and cardstock needed for Photo Mats) - $45.00, plus postage

Additional Albums: Includes Binder Rings and Rivets - $10.00, plus postage.

Punch Pals Christmas Stationary Box, complete with Cards, Small Gift Cards with mini envelopes and Gift Card Holders. What’s so special or different about these cards? Well not only do they look great, but they are all made out of acetate just for something different. Hello all, Here is my entry to this weeks ESAD week 15 Challenge.

This weeks Challenge was a Scrapbooking Layout Challlenge and. I wanted to incorporate this page into my own Mini Scrapbooking Album that I will be making at our previously advertised upcoming Mini Scrapbooking Album Class.

So while the sketch may have been suited to a 12" x 12" page, the page I made is 6" x 5 1/2" to suit the mini album and I would not be me if I did not change the sketch to suit my preferences. hehe.

Here is the picture of the sketch I had to work with,, ofcouse as with any sketch, it is there for inspiration, it is up to yourself to modify it to suit yourself or to work with the products and embelishments you have on hand.

And here is my page. I have used Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulance and the new DSP Cottage Wall and Stamp Set Cottage Garden, which is now available in the current Autumn/Winter Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue.

These are a glimpse of the colors, Designer Series Paper (DSP), Cardstock and Stamp Set that we will be using to make the Mini Scrapbook Album.

Just a reminder that bookings are nearly about to close for you to attend our upcoming Scrapbook Photo Album Class to be held Sunday 13 June - 10am to 4pm in Ballarat, Victoria.

The Handmade Scrapbook Album includes 18 pages made from scratch, each page is different and interactive, full pop up, pop out, pull out, spin, tags, etc and lots more - with places for over 40 photos.

The cost of the class includes: The hard cover binder ready for you to decorate, a tutorial for completion, access to all the Stampin’ Up! Supplies, Stamps, Punches, Cardstock and tools required to complete, you will also receive a new packet of Cottage Garden Designer Series Paper (you will have some of this paper left over to either use on other projects or complete another album.
