Hello All

I am back to show you my latest Punch Art Creation - introducing "Willy the Worm" Bookmark. "Willy the Worm" is a recreate from a design I played with last year, in which I made these cute worm bookmarks and used them as my Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps.

I also made a fit to size matchbook cover, which the book mark easily slips in and out of for cute gift giving. I have redesigned using a couple of different punches and have my "Willy the Worm" punch art design now available as a pre-punched cardstock punch art kit or tutorial only. The pre-punched cardstock kit also comes with a pre-cut and scored matchbook cover and Giant Paper clip - kit makes two.

Cuteness Alert - Ozzie the Owl Punch Art

Posted on April 17, 2011 at 1:40 AM Comments comments (1)

Hello All, I am back quickly to show you another new Punch Art Owl I have created and he is so so soooo cute.

In between trying to get some last minute Easter orders completed, work on some new projects, I just had to have a play with my punches and get this little fella out of my head. I am very happy with the finished cute result. Introducing Ozzie the Owl (thanks goes to Jackie for the name suggestion).

Ozzie has been made by using the same concept as my Ollie the Owl card design that I showed yesterday, but he is in miniture (and again all made with Stampin' Up! Punches). Ozzie is very tiny, he fits perfectly into the Stampin' Up! Scallop Envelope Die cut, and makes the perfect note or gift tag that I am sure anyone who likes owls, will love to receive. Below is an example of the size difference between Ozzie and Ollie the Owls Cards.

Ok, I better stop playing and get back to work,  I have Ollie the Owl Card tutorial and kit completed, but I allso need to finish off the three unfinished tutorials I have on the go, I will be back shortly to show you my next tutorial/kit featuring Ozzie the Owl.

Kind Regards Angela

Mother's Day Punch Art Owl Card

Posted on April 16, 2011 at 1:04 AM Comments comments (1)

Hello All

I have been having a play with some projects for Mother's Day and have this cute card - all made using Stampin' Up! punches and die cuts. hehe, I had to quickly whip up one to look like its for Mother's Day, as this can be modified for any occasion, but what little spare time I have is supposed to be spent working on some new Mother's Day projects.

Look familiar? Introducing my Ollie the Owl Punch Art Card Design, the making of Ollie has been taken from my own original Matchbox Punch Art Owl Giftbox design - that has been very popular. I have made Ollie into a bottom opening card, and all made using Stampin' Up! Punches and Die Cuts.

Here is a comparison picture, with my original Matchbox Punch Art Gift Box Owls and the new Ollie the Owl Punch Art Cards. Below left is the Standard Sized Matchbox Owl Punch Art Gift Box, Middle two are the new Ollie the Owl cards, and below far right is the Gift Card Sized Matchbox Punch Art Owl. Cute, Cute, Cute.

Here is another example, showing that Ollie can be modified for any occasion. I will have a step-by-step pictured turorial and Pre-cut/punched kit available for to recreate the below pictured Ollie the Owl Punch Art design.

I would like to thank my friend Alisa for the initial inspriation to make a card from my Matchbox Punch Art Owl Design, which is perfect for when you need to give a card over a treat / gift box.

Kind Regards

Giant Nugget Card Gift Box Ends with Small Gift Box

Posted on April 10, 2011 at 12:23 PM Comments comments (1)

Hello All,

I am back again, this time to show you what I have been playing with, hehe Sale-a-bration has ended and its only now that I have had a chance to have a play with the stamp sets, I have used the butterfly from Bliss (my favorite) and So Happy for You for the sentiments.

Ok back to what I have been making. Its a Chocolate and Card Gift Pack, I found the idea from Becky Roberts - Inkin Idaho. Becky made a Giant Nugget Box, which held three Hershy Chocolate Nuggets and Four 3 x 3 Note Cards in a cute little gift box. Below is the one I made form the turorial Becky has available on her website.

Well I thought that these were a great gift giving idea, however when I give cards, I like to include envelopes, so I re-designed one that would not only hold the 3 x 3 cards and but also some 3 1/2" envelopes that I had on hand. Below is Beckys version (left) and my version on the right which is now holding four Hershey Nuggets and matching envelopes for the 3 x 3" cards.

Well of course every now and then I like to outsmart myself and it wasnt until I went to create the slider cover for my version, I realised that no way could I use a A4 sheet of cardstock as it was too small to wrap around the now bigger box. To finish it off, I have used a 12 x 12" cardstock sheet, but I needed to go back to the drawing board so that I wasnt wasting so much cardstock. And I just love what I came up with, took me all day to get my measurements right, but well worth it.

Below is a comparison of the varous versions, Becky's left, mine (1st version) right and my final version is the below middle.

I am really happy with how my version turned out. I also wanted to utilise more Stampin' Up! products. I have been able to bring in the Stampin' Up! Sizzix BigShot Scallop Envelope Die, so I also get my note cards, and matching envelopes. While the Scallop Envelope Die does make a small envelope, it is just a perfect size for a card to give with a bunch of flowers or other small gifts such as Jewellery etc. Plus I get to make it from A4 sized Cardstock. Just a perfect card, envelope and Chocolate gift pack for gift giving.

The DSP I used is this one is the current Elegant Soriee.

Here is another version made using the current Love Letter DSP, love how this one turned out also.

I will soon be offering my version as a pre-cut kit - or even as a class by mail for you to create for your own gift giving. Ok I am off now to go and have a play with some other colors.

Kind Regards

Angela

A couple more MatchBox Owls

Posted on February 7, 2011 at 4:14 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello all, I have finally made the time and have been playing my Matchbox Owl Tutorial,  and made a couple of new owls, which were made using the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Sizzix BigShot Dies and Various Stampin' Up! punches.

I need to change my kits as one of the colors I have used is a retired Stampin' Up! favourite color of mine - Close to Coco, and my stash is nearly coming to an end.

Unfortantly in the current colors there is nothing similar to Close to Coco and I really struggle with the color Soft Suede, but I had no choice and had to use it. and I was pleasantly surprised when I had finished this little fella (below left), I really like it the end result. I think this color is begining to grow on me.

The second owl, I have been wanting to make a matchbox owl in white and make it similar to Harry Potter's Hegwig. Well tonight was the night, except I forgot that I had lent out my Basic Gray ink, so improvised with Sahara Sand instead. I will make a gray and white (Hegwig Owl) yet.

Above is a quick pic of the two standard size MatchBox Owls and the midlle is the modified Gift Card Sized Owl, which will fit a Gift Card inside.

My tutorial includes instructions on how to create both sizes of MatchBox Owls.

A PDF tutorial is available for purchase and an be emailed world wide.

A pre-cut kit with all the pre-cut/punched pieces and a colored step-by-step pictured tutorial is available for postage to Australian Residents only.

Various Die cuts and replace ment kit pices are also available. Check out my WebStore to purchase, located on the top toolbar.

Matchbox Kitty Cat Gift Box

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 6:04 AM Comments comments (1)

New Punch Art tutorial and pre cut kit available – Matchbox Kitty Cat Gift Box

Hello all, I have had this design ready to go for a little while and not had time to get it out there, well finally here it is – how cute are they??

Here is my Matchbox Kitty Cat Gift Box, made using the Stampin’ Up! Exclusive Matchbox and Top Note die and various Stampin’ Up! punches.

The design of this come about from another project that I was working on, and as I was piecing it together, I thought that it could look like a cat, if I tweaked it here and there and that was the start of my matchbox Kitty Cat Gift Box. Hehe, I still haven’t finished the original project though.

In my examples I have made a Ginger Kitty Cat, using Stampin’ Up! More Mustard Cardstock and Stampin’ Write Marker, then sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink. The second Kitty Cat, I have used Basic Gray Cardstock, Stampin’ Write Marker and Ink. I have added a bell on some fine string for added effect of a bell and collar.

Of course I just had to modify the Matchbox Die cut to make a gift box that would hold a gift card (it holds a gift card and giant Freddo perfectly) and this one I have named “Toby puss”, if you have meet my cat Toby, then you will understand why I have named this fat cat design Toby (sorry Tobes).

The Tutorial also includes instructions on how I have made “Toby Puss” which will fit a gift card, this is made by modifying the cardstock prior to die cutting from the Matchbox die.

This cute little gift box is the perr-fect gift packaging for any little gift and can be decorated and embellished as you wish for any occasion.  perfect for jewellery, chocolates, treats or even cash etc.

Please see my Web Store to purchase either - Just the PDF tutorial (emailed) or a DIY Kit which includes a printed tutorial, Die Cut and punched pieces to make two of the standard Matchbox Kitty Cat Gift Boxes (in More Mustard or Basic Gray) – colors can be altered or additional die cuts and pre punched pieces can also be purchased (Australian Residents Only).

Top Note Get Well Gift Pack - meets Elegant Soriee

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 5:18 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello Everyone,  I hope you have all had a great weekend, mine has been great and I have had plenty of time to have a play.

I have had a remake my Top Note Get Well Gift Box, this time using the current Stampin' Up! Elegant Soriee Designer Series Paper.

The Top Note Get Well Gift Pack was designed to cheer up anyone who is under the weather or feeling down, it holds a packet of Kleenex Pocket tissues in the top box and the bottom slider holds some lemon tea bags and cough drops or everyones pick me up CHOCOLATE, by changing the goodies it holds you can change to suit any reason for gift giving.

Pictured above left, I have used Soft Suede as the Cardstock Base and pictured above right, I have used one of my favorite cardstock colors - Baja Breeze as my base color and then layered with Top Note Cardstock and DSP Die Cut pieces, made using the Stampin' Up! Sizzix BigShot Die Cutting machine.

With the above Top Note Get Well Gift Pack, I added a bit more embelishment. The pansy was inspired from a cool YouTube video - Pretty Paper Pansies by Darlene Plotinski. It is made using the Stampin' Up! Butterfly punch, which I have sponged the edges with Baja Breeze and the centre with Not Quite Navy and finished of with a rhinestone brad for a bit of bling. I have die cut the leaves from Crumb Cake Cardstock, using the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Little Leaves Sizzlits Die. The sentiment I have used the Scallop Oval Punch and the Large Oval Punch and the greeting is from Sincere Salutations stamp set

If you would like to make the Top Note Get Well Gift Pack, I have a Step-by-Step pictured tutorial available for purchase in my webstore (tutorial only), the PDF tutorial will be emailed to you within 24 hours of receiving your payment. Or if you are located in Australia a Pre-cut and scored Cardstock/DSP kit with printed tutorial can also be purchased in my webstore (Pre-cut kit).

Christmas Matchbox Gift Card Book

Posted on January 9, 2011 at 3:26 AM Comments comments (0)

While I have been busy trying to get some new projects available, I still need to finalise some unfinished Christmas projects, which I will come back to shortly. But before Christmas gets too far away, I thought I would share what I made for my own Christmas Gift Packaging.

My friend Sharon Sweet, from Eureka Stamper gave me a cute little book gift box, made from the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Sizzix BigShot Matchbox die. I knew that I could modify the die for my own purpose, the gift packaging design that I came up with was still made using the Matchbox Die, but is now big enough to fit a gift card, or an ipod, or as pictured with some yummy DSP wrapped chocolates.

I have used Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Holly Jolly Designer Series Paper, the owl has been punched from my favorite 2-Step Owl Punch, with a festive santa had added. You cant see, but on the sides, I have used the Stampin' Up! new Woodgrain stamp to give the illusion of pages.

Below is the closed view:

Below - Inside - open view

Pictured below, front flap closed, but with gift slider drawer open

I have a few projects on the go, please check back to see them finished.

Stampin Up Milk Carton and Caddy Carrier

Posted on January 8, 2011 at 1:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello All,

I have been having a play with the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Milk Carton Die for the BigShot, and wanted to make a cute little caddy/carrier.

These cute little Milk Carton style gift boxes can be used for many gift giving occasions. Perfect for a great novel way to package up small gifts, yummy treats, perfect for party favours or you can even just fit a pair of baby socks or singlet inside - great for a new baby gift.

This is what I have come up with. I have put together a tutorial to make this Milk Carton Caddy / Carrier, together with measurements of DSP used and instructions on how to create a bottom unsealable opening. I also have this available as a pre-cut and scored kit.

The finished measurements of the Milk Carton when assembled is aprox: 8.1cm (high) x 4.1cm (wide) x 4.1cm (long). It will fit treats or a gift the size of aprox 5cm (high) x 4cm (wide) x 4cm (long) (with bottom opening). The caddy has been made to hold two Milk Cartons, but you can easily join two together, you can even just fit a gift card slided down the back of the caddy so that it sits behind the Milk Cartons.

Regards

Angela

Sooooo Cute Owls

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 5:40 AM Comments comments (1)

Golly Gosh,

I hope my rabbling makes sence, but I cant wait to share these with you. I am really happy with how these turned out, they are my first prototype and I may tweek a little here and there, but I am impressed.

I was looking back at some of my previous posts and as you may not have realised I have a thing for owls at the moment. I was looking at the different owl gift tags and gift card holder that I made, but as previously mentioned, I bought the turorial from another very creative designer and I wanted to come up with my own design.

And I also like to make things with a purpose and that are different, ie pop-ups, pull outs, treat holders, gift card holders etc. So here I have created two items one a treat holder - great for a thank you gift and another that will hold a Gift card or gift card size and up to 1.5cm wide. These have been made using Stampin' Up! Punches and the Sizzix Stampin' Up! Exclusive Matchbox die, which makes it very easy to access the goodies.

Hehe you should see my craft room now, there is paper scraps and punches everywhere. I will be spending the next few days putting together a tutorial and a kit will be available - I hope you all like these guys as much as I do.

Regards

Angela
